In Vault Workgroup, Collaboration or Manufacturing you would like to assign automatically a specific Category to the Inventor standard parts inserted from the content Center.
This is easily achievable if you set a Rule that assign the desired Category to files that have the property "Standards Organization(I)" set to: "is not empty":
This property is empty by default for normal ipt or iam files, but it contains the standard name (ANSI, ISO, JIS etc...) in case of content center files.

Hi
Some question about this metod. Is it normal to give tubes, pipes and other custom content center parts the same category as the fastners, nuts etc.? Or is it better to give them the same category as the normal rest of the parts? The are not saved in the CC folder but in the design folder...

Hi
In Vault Professional 2011 I would like to asign a specific item category to content center files.
I linked the file property "Standart Organisation" to an item property called "Standart", but it stays empty. So the rule "is not empty" does not work.
For file categories it all workes well...
Thanks
