Merging Files and Folders in Multiple Vault

A question that comes into Autodesk Support from time to time is how to merge files and folders from different Vault databases.

This can only be achieved by getting the files from one Vault database locally and then adding them in to the second Vault database.

Once the files are on the local machine, you can use either Inventor itself, Autoloader or the Inventor Task Scheduler to check the files into the other Vault.

This can possibly be automated via the Vault API, but you would need to approach your reseller to research this more as this functionality is not provided out of the box in Vault.

And what about replications?
Is it possible to autoreplicate folders of one Vault in some other vault?
