A useful document has been posted that lists the capabilities required of a 3rd party backup and restore solution if using the ADMS Console is not sufficient.
For this to be formally supported, you would need to be able to run the ADMS Console without any errors in the User Interface or the ADMS Console logs, after restoring the backup.

It should work. If not, try clearing your IE cache, refreshing the page. If that doesn't help please log a support case.
