Vault does not like long file names... but, why does Inventor create VERY long filenames ?? For example, here is the path I created : c:\vault_local\part1.ipt. 24 characters. And here is the name generated by Inventor for simulation files : C:\Vault_Local\Part1\AIP\Stress Analysis\{931B9BF1-748F-4E43-A223-AF19FF88CDEC}\Simulation_0\Part1_msh_{BA59B7DC-47FB-4D25-AAAB-2A9122FAD61A}.fmsh. 146 characters ! Perhaps the development team should read this blog ?

Hi Alain,

This blog posting refers to the Computer Name or machine name, and not file names.
