Why not priority 64-bit when Autodesk recommend Windows 7 (64-bit) and Inventor (64-bit) to get the best performance. Should I uninstall my 64-bit Office 2010, and switch to a 32-bit.

Hi Sonny,
This is only a temporary situation. There are major technical difficulties in supporting other Vault plugins for other vendors software After a product is released. Vault 2011 was developed and released many months before Microsoft released Office 2010 and made it available for testing. This addin represents a considerable investment by Autodesk. The technical difficulties were significantly greater for the 64 bit version and so a business decision was made to only support 32 bit Office in this release. Future releases could support both 32 and 64 bit.

For now, if you need the Vault addin for Office, the only options you currently have are to stay with Office 2007 until Vault supports both 64 and 32 bit or move to 32 bit Office.

I hope you understand why Autodesk has done it this way.

Richard
